Enjoy the good battle system and the nice story and universe (despite being generic fantasy at first, it quickly shows you it's not that simple).

Feels bad we'll never have a remake or any sequel because Sony sucks.

A great jrpg with a unique combat system and one of the most bro characters in any game I ever did see. Lavitz is great shit. The locations and music are also great.

A lot of timing events. Hope that's your thing or you might hate the combat. Otherwise you're going to get a nice fantasy adventure from PS1. I think it's charming as all hell, but taste is a deeply personal affair.

My favourite JRPG.
The combat is really fun once you get used to it. It's paced such that you don't really have to grind, and if you don't the bosses are appropriately challenging without being impossible.
The story is fun and interesting. The caste is big, and it does sort of ignore some characters, but the characterization and growth you do get is top notch. The world is cool as hell and it alone is worth playing for. Really gives you the feeling of living in the aftermath of legendary deeds.
The final boss is a fucking trip.

I haven't played it in ages, but I loved this game when I was younger. The combat is a bit like Super Mario RPG with the timed button presses. The dragoon transformations and cutscenes were extremely impressive for their time.

I don't get why people revere it, but I also revere Legend of Legaia which others could say much of the same about. Except the bad characters part, even random whos in towns end up pretty interesting.

The OST is probably where the game lacks the most compared to other JRPGs of its era.
Story was nice. Good pace, some plot twists, ineresting cast of characters. You feel you're part of a big adventure...
