There's so much going on with the class variants that it's giving me severe choice paralysis. I'm just sticking with my axe Berserker as I struggle through all the new content on Bahamut. Up to WoL 2.0, I'll probably start experimenting with new shit once he's down. Not a fan of the tracking on his unlockable move

For basically all of them except maybe Tyrant they're straight upgrades over the default, so you should at least pick one. If you like the job already then you're just picking between two as well so narrowing it down like that helps.

I spent two and a half hours slamming my face into lv260 bahamut Behemoth with all the "less survivability" trials on until i got the hitless run with fist assassin/tyrant.
Neat additions and changes although I wish they hadn't neutered Invisibility.

Pilgrim is tied to getting a staff, so it and Evoker are available from the start. Summoner is from Bahamut.

Yeah, you need to have beat the game to unlock Chaos difficulty first.
Fairly decent actually, not as good as it should be but likely better than you expect.

There's genuinely too many to list if you're talking about the classes, every job gets two and a lot of them are pretty game changing. Genji for Samurai is one of my favourites by far, it makes Meikyo Shisui give you MP when you Chain Cancel as well.

White Mage gets a raise that fully heals a party member and gives them reraise with one tree. The other makes it so you can only use regenga,protecga,shellga, and hastega and not the base spells but they no longer consume mp.
Black Mage gets an upgraded flare or something where the casting gauge will not deplete when not casting a spell.
Sage gets a regular raise spell or meteor.

Did they do something to the max amount of affinities you can have? Last night I had 7. I got the new class extension and now I have 3 + the 2 new ones. It seems to be ignoring completely some of the affinity on my gear. Like here I have multiple gear with Cyclic warrior but no cyclic warrior affinity.
