Barely

it really isn't

just use creamapi and get it all for free with zero effort

just cream api

It was unplayable on release just as it is unplayable now.
Mana was a mistake.
Go play HOI 3 or at least a game where mana is actually fun - CK2, preferably with Elder Kings.

ck2 is the easiest and most boring of all their titles

Its unplayable. Game is balanced around having at least 7 of the big DLCs

Still the only proper usage of mana ever since they've started using it.

Just pirate it; it's incredibly easy if you bought the base game legit

you just prolly lack the creativy

Ck2 doesn't have mana; prestige and piety doesn't get you much like mana in EU4 and I:R do

It's fun if you roleplay as your current character based on their stats and traits

download creamapi. You have to put put it both in the game folder and in the PDX launcher folder

They are essentially mana when it comes to how they are spent in-game compared to actual mana in EU4 and whatnot

It's fun to start as a minor in England in 789 and form a hueg empire by 1000 covering most of Europe having your dynasty share its name with the one from Code Geass
Then it's getting even more fun when you decide to go full larp and form HRE to get that sweet "Holy" part to your name, but then you realize that HRE is an elective monarchy and you've just ruined decades of decades of constructing absolutism
CK2 is a fun game like that

nah, that's ck3. Game is stupid easy

Without any DLC its literally just an unfinished Alpha release of a grand strategy game

Elective monarchy is the best in the game and only gets stronger the bigger you get, just throw money at every elector so they vote for who you want because favors are overpowered horseshit. Unless you're pagan and take the reform to just pick your heir with no strings attached it doesn't get any better.

CK3 got no excuse of not having every single DLC mechanic from CK2 being there on launch. I'm not touching that piece of shit ever again.

>just throw money at every elector so they vote for who you want
Even the greediest characters got a limit from which their opinion cannot be influenced by money
Needless to say I dropped that campaign but not before witnessing my glorious empire crushing with no survivors
A funny sidenote: when I conquered Rome I had to change its religion back to catholicism since it was previously conquered in a failed Crusade or something, I wasn't paying much attention to the mainland back then

Opinion is only relevant for letting you buy the favor, once you do you can just demand they vote with you and their vote is locked for ten years unless they die. Unless you're broke or the antichrist it's completely in your control.

Victoria 2 is still paradox’s best game and hoi has never been good. Fite me

Maybe my initial game settings were fucked but I remember being unable to get the votes in any way

Hoi4 is only fun when I play autistic mods that fufill my autistic fantasies

One of the funnest and most successful games I ever had was as Bohemia in a shattered world game. AI didn't fuck around for once and large nations formed fast. Crusaded against France. Crusaded against a massive Abyssinia for decades and my only thanks was a suspiciously black son when I got home. Scandis asked me to help them convert by the handful. One of my kings had one leg and one arm, and his father was an insane fatass who's only accomplishment was abolishing the council. Shame my Holy Bohemian Empire was lime green.
