Hey Anons. I just picked this up cheap from a friend that was selling most of his game collection.
What am I in for? It looks really cool.

A nice samurai movie
Multiplayes is pretty decent too
Beautiful open world with plenty to do, though it becomes somewhat repetitive. The combat isn't too complex, but it gets the job done.
Also DOSHO
Sweet. Thanks.
Play on one of the harder difficulties. The game can be actually quite difficult at the start because you are lacking lots of tools to deal with the enemies, but as it progresses, you become more and more powerful, until you hit another difficulty spike.
Also play with jap dub.
It's definitely one of the better "movie games" that manages to capture the style of samurai movies incredibly well. The open world tends to be one of its weaker aspects, but lots of the missions and duels are really great and it has a very good story.
Don't expect a pc port lol
;_;
Can you change difficulty midgame?
Also make sure to do sidequests, especially the Masako and Ishikawa lines
kino of the highest order, it's incredibly beautiful and has great characters
Yes.
Kino
Do Lethal mode. It's incredibly satisfying to cut down guys in one or two hits.
The best Playstation game since forever.
I preferred Hard mode exactly because of this. After you get the hang of the game, lethal mode felt too fast and too easy.
it's a great game for people who aren't good enough to play Sekiro, have fun user!
This
Hard is great, lethal is actually too easy
>Assassin's Creed but not made by French Canadian cucks
>Respects Japanese culture, not just a meme Samurai Simulator
>Pretty colors & scenery
Gameplay loop does get a little repetitive but combat is fun.
pet all the foxes
The best Ubi open world game there is. The combat is good and some of the stories are amazing, but there's WAY too much shit to do and gadgets to use, it becomes a detriment to the game.
My advice to enjoy the most of it? Play on lethal, they fixed the fucked scaling in duels with the directors cut so it is the best difficulty to play on, and only do mythic tales and tales that are about Jins friends. Doing all the tales is okay too, but fuck doing all 49 fox dens, and I say this as someone who platinum'd the game.
I'm a few hours in (but haven't recruited everyone yet) and have a question:
Are all women ugly af? The main npc and the villagers all look either to old, or have monkey phenotypes or chad jawlines. No beautiful young nippon damsels in distress to save. Everyone looks like they're 30+.
No children and babies are in the villages either. Is the island void of them? It all feels like a bland simulation and makes the world stilted and not lifelike.
No chickens running around and dogs. The open world feels dead. There are only bears, deers, and pigs. The rest is vegetation.
It felt promising at first and the gameplay is pretty fun. But it's already starting to feel repetitive and dead and "sandbox-ish"
>lethal mode felt too fast
With the length of the game, I say that's a good thing. Skirmishes are quick and keep things moving.
>modern western game
No, all women are as you described.
There are couple more animals in the DLC, but no, that's what you get with the base game.
