Considering how much people seethe about bloodborne vials I'm surprised I don't see more complaints about gating the fun stuff behind talismans

enemies actually fight back unlike dmc so called enemies

you will never be out of emblems so it's not a big deal

That sounds like a you problem, you can fully use prosthetics and arts extensively against bosses and are greatly rewarded for doing so intelligently.
People bitch about emblems nonstop from what I see, and the complaints are similarly rooted in complete and utter fantasy.

literally the best game ever made after OoT

Bloodborne and sekiro are some of my favorite games of all time but you’re delusional if you think there’s no problems with the vial/ bullet and spirit emblem systems. It’s actually the exact same problem. People who are good at the game end up hoarding 999 so the consumable nature of them is irrelevant and you might as well have infinite. If you’re a shitter you don’t have enough, so you either have to grind or play hyper conservatively. That second part is worst for sekiro, because it actively discouraged new players from experimenting with their prosthetic tools. I’m sure it’s a major factor in why people think that the combat is too shallow.

>prosthetics and combat arts
uhh, sorry to break it to ya honey, but you did NOT beat the game.

rent free

You don't need emblems to beat Sekiro bosses, but they help
You NEED blood vials to beat most BB bosses

it's more about the beauty than the gameplay.

>People who are good at the game have more of a resource to spend as a reward for developing core skills
>people who are not have less of the resource and are encouraged to improve to retain more of said resource and think about how to make use of them effectively
And you imply this is a problem of the game somehow and not of the player's will. Of course the funny part is that spirit emblems, the one you single out for being worse, are something you're absolutely fucking drowned in during the game from the very beginning, to the point that unless you're spamming shurikens to kill every single enemy you see or consistently spending all of them on countless boss retries which is barely possible even for bad players due to getting killed first, you will have a net positive of them even from the beginning of the game despite actively making use of them in any combat encounter. As I said, a fantasy born of assumptions of the system and excusing lack of attention and effort instead of looking at the reality of it.

It's by far the most simplistic combat I've ever seen in an action game. No to reason to play it over Bayonetta, NG, or hell, MGR.

sekiro haters:
>game bad cuz you react to what's on the screen only, muh Simon says
also sekiro haters:
>prosthetics are useless, and NO I've ever bothered to use them and experiment with them in different situations because the game didn't tell me to do it!
retards

>simplistic combat

It’s the only 3D beat em up where bosses have actual low/grab mixups. This is “simplistic” according to DMCucks.

my favorite bosses is sekiro are the ones where you have to spend ten minutes hit and running their minions before you actually get to fight them

>Bayonetta
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Sekiro is so much more ingeniously designed than Bayonetta it’s not even funny. This is the quality of boss design you can look forward to in Bayonetta: m.youtube.com/watch?v=GraxgGjYy-8

You didn't play the game

>he's stuck fighting the drunkard

this looks like a game journalist playing dmc

Any Forums is a casual board that whines about doing dp inputs and half the time throws fits during action game threads. So i wouldn't be too surprised as to why they like Sekiro and larp with it screeching filtered at people who criticize it. Daily reminder DSP beat Isshin in 3 tries but needed multiple gold orbs to beat normal mode Vergil with Dante/Nero. Nothing more then a L1 rhythm game with no mechanical depth or expression made for pretenders.

It is probably thee best game in terms of clash animations/noises though.

exactly. bayonetta is overrated as fuck and kamiya is a hack.

Action game bosses fight back more then Sekiro ones. As for normal enemies i'd argue they do to. But if you are good enough you can trivialize them in pretty much any game that isn't NG. Maybe Bayo too when they throw GnG and Joys all over the place which are far above anything in Sekiro.

Sekiro is the DSP of action games.

wow its like you can actually play more than 1 game

What? NG games have throws all over the place and a natural block button too. Hell so do multiple action games. As for "lows" action games have enough moves that are unblockable to make up for this.

DMCV vergil is easier than the first miniboss of Sekiro.

>it's another "boss that you can't parry so you just have too slowly deal chip damage until it dies"

Attached: 158468352934477945.jpg (720x428, 26.26K)

Bayo bosses often miss some form of challenging mark but there is nothing in Sekiros normal enemy roster and even most of the bosses just a few that can measure up to Gracious and Glorious. Some Bayo 2 enemies are good too. The issue with Bayo bosses is they often try to go for the scale wow factor and its difficult to make that kind of boss hard.

How a player is conditioned to respond to circumstances in a game is a part of the design, not separate

Eh? Objectively no. Again DSP beat Isshin in 3 tries. Took more then 3 tries with gold orbs to beat Vergil on normal. You can kill a majority of bosses in Sekiro especially without any bell/demon shit by L1ing.

From soft games are ultimately just DSP games. A man who ran away from NGB but tots beating these casual shit fests.

the problem with Bayonetta is the shitty bosses, constant QTEs, and trash space harrier section. Kamiya is a hack.

>it's another "boss that you can't parry
My brother in Christ, you can parry literally any attack that doesn't have the big red moonrune before it, and the ones that clearly cannot be physically parried like flames and poison mists.
