If you like the light attack-heavy attack-counter on prompt that has taken over melee focused character action games then you will like it. The webslinging is pretty meh, its not really player skill based so the room to improve over your playthrough is minimal in that regard.
Basically it's batman arkham but your spiderman.

it's pretty entertaining, but i think they should've left it there. the standalone expansion doesn't differ much at all and i can't imagine the sequel doing much new.
then again i played the original game and miles morales pretty close to each other so might have been just burned out

If you played any of the PS2 Spiderman games you know what you are getting into.

I can't believe they got away with it. To answer OP, the game is shallow but fun. The story isn't super interesting & most of the characters are meh. I would honestly skip it if you are not REALLY into spiderman.

I liked it enough to get the Plat, it is however ubisoft but done very well and the webslinging makes it fun. The random crimes were fun at first, but I end up just ignoring them after awhile since there are only maybe 5-10 of them repeated. I may actually end up getting it on PC if my cpu can hang.

It’s good in hour long bursts.

Also good selection for costumes.

I literally just replayed it and finished it yesterday. It’s genuinely fuckin solid. Remaster face is fucking awful though. Just play the PS4 version on PS5
