i prefer the 3+ hour autism videos than 50 videos that are 10 minutes with 2 minutes of plugs for some service i don't care about and 8 minutes of the same stuff everyone else says everywhere
the long videos are the stuff i look forward to watching or listening to
it's really nice to put it on in the background while meal prepping for the week or doing laundry or any of those other things i gotta do during the week to be a functioning human
i don't even have to agree with what is being said but i enjoy hearing someone's stance or ideas about stuff i like even if it differs from my own when it's in a long video like this and decently put together
the only stuff i use those short videos for anymore is if i need a tutorial on something like tearing down a product for repair work

The amount of care/autism required to actually make a 7 fucking hour video means the creator fucking cares. You cant make a 7 hour long clickbait video.
This isnt true in every case, but i would say the majority of the video essays are well thought out and informative, while being highly educational on the topics they chose to cover.
tik tok has burned out your ability to pay attention to anything for more than 30 seconds.
Your also going on the mistaken impression the video is intended to be consumed in 1 sitting.
They are a perfect background for when I do cardio or lift, and one good 7 hour video lasts me almost an entire week.
