The only physical description of Thor from Norse myth is that he has red hair and is really strong. There's a description of an 11th century statue where the (Christian) commenter says he looks like Jupiter, who has never been depicted as anything other than a buff muscly guy.
It would be one thing if GoW Thor actually looked like a strongfat weightlifter guy, but he doesn't even have pectorals, it's obviously just an attempt to be subversive.

What I find really stupid is that we know virtually NOTHING first hand about Asgard, Odin, Thor, or any of that shit. We get everything secondhand via stories, and the only real taste we receive is Baldr. How the fuck are we supposed to get invested in an antagonist like this, and essentially speedrun Ragnarok in one installment?
