That actually seems pretty reasonable to me. Normies want everything to work like a phone anyway, might as well lean into it and maybe see if you can get a little bit of that DS lightning back in the bottle while you're at it.

It already has a perfectly fine touch screen. A good stylus would be nice though, like the ones found on Microsoft Surface tablets or the Samsung Galaxy Note phones.

Ditto, although it wont happen. Games for the 3DS were often made from the ground up with 3D in mind, and it wouldn't be simple or practical to patch old games for 3D like the 3DS had. N3DSXL was a VERY good system, and fixed all the issues 3D had until then. With a big fucking asterix, many games didn't get developed properly for the 3D feature, especially launch games like Ridge Racer 3D or Pilotwings. No matter how perfect the angle even on a N3DS, the developers fucked it up. Other games like OoT3D and Samus Returns have perfect 3D on the N3DS. What a great system.

i refuse to believe autostereoscopy couldnt have progressed beyond gimmicky levels. It was gimick that i thought "yea this could work" but its just stopped. Maybe it really did hit a hard limit

I liked the 3D effect on the 3DS but it's unnecessary and would just add extra cost to a new Switch. Would rather they focused on performance and resolution.

3D is a gimmick. Just like color.
