Why is that
Soul is dead
>OLD GAMES ARE......... LE GOOD!
nostalgia goggles
I bet that boy doesn't need to pay property tax
Comfy is a synonym for nostalgia.
Things are only novel once.
>...
>why is that?
>its never actually like that
why is Any Forums like that?
That's a big webm
What's the source on that gif?
>buy asset
>everyone uses the same asset
>huh why does this feel soulless
because no love exists in games anymore, they just bought it from the asset store.
Cause players feel most attached to the games they played as kids so naturally the games posted are going to be older

we have the benefit of time passed, everyone has found all of the good old games worth remembering, playing and talking about, but nobody talks about the shit like Mortal Kombat: Special Forces, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, HBO Boxing, Blues Brothers 2000, Eternal Ring, Driver 2 and The Mummy
fast forward to the present day, there's not as much of a consensus on what the good games are yet; people have only just started to realize how good 2017 was for vidya outside of the mainstream releases that year like Cuphead, Hollow Knight and Persona 5
also even if you think old games were objectively better, nostalgia is absolutely a factor in the comfort, nostalgia has affected every generation of people that has ever lived so you'd be a fool to think it doesn't impact you now; the games you grew up with as a kid will inherently be more comforting
In 2011, people were posting games from the 90s and the early 00s, in 2021, people were again posting games from the 90s and the early 00s when logically they should be posting games from the 2010s if it's really just nostalgia. It seems that no one is nostalgic for anything after 2007.
that looks nice in a cartoon, but if you try doing this in real life
>you'll get devoured by mosquitoes going anywhere near that water
>slimy algae wraps around your feet and ankles
>swim through all manner of dead plant matter, likely industrial / agricultural waste, and other nasty shit
>a wide range of microorganisms swim into your facial openings, up your urethra, and in your butthole
>fish in window
Imagine the smell
>It seems that no one is nostalgic for anything after 2007.
I've seen zoomer twitter posts spammed here that say otherwise
Whenever looking at these sort things I always assume some super futuristic technology in play like the water itself is self-cleaning and or filters hidden from view taking care of all the nasty bio-matter.
never swam in a pond ? it's even better since it's a river it's running water
Those were being ironic if you didn't catch on, and they're usually for an experience such as playing games with friends rather than any part of single player games
Everything is like this. I see some anime where characters are lying down in a field of grass and it seems so peaceful but in real life you'd be covered in bugs within a minute
That's not true at all, when i played Little Witch Nobeta i cried
for you
I know that but can a man not dream of comfy?
Because people treated gamemaking as a form of artistic expression.
modern game suck at atmosphere
>going outside when it's not winter

I absolutely loved exploring new parts of the world in Valheim, and my little village was a huge source of comfort feels. I also liked CP77 city outskirts, seeing city from far away had this calm vibe to it.
games today arent designed to be comfortable, theyre designed to be political and make you, the white(slur word) gamer(slur word) feel like shit
