is SBMM ruining FPS?

Latest Zoomer cope.
Just don't play shit games that are designed to eat your time and designed to give you as little practice as possible so you remain dog shit as long as possible.

>both ranked and casual have the thickest of SBMM implemented.

Yes but only because it doesn't work. If it worked properly then everyone on both teams would be around the same skill level. Instead, if you do really well in a match the game goes "hmm how do we balance this" and they give you teammates that look like they miss their desktop icons frequently

Match making has already ruined FPS games. Like, remember how fucking great original Team Fortress 2 was? You'd find a server, make some friends, shoot the shit...fuck man, it was great. And then they put in that fuck awful match making and the game just went to piss.

I don't wanna be all
>muh consoles
but....fuck.

>give you teammates that look like they miss their desktop icons frequently

>the opposing team is ultra plat rank with more hours in the game than the retail copy has existed.
>this pairing will last for the next 12 matches before it down ranks you to the next SBMM tier

But it's consoles nearly every time. Does not help that all the normiefags only use consoles, so they need to be dumbed down even more, because money is nice.

Only mentally-ill golems are into pvp.

that sounds like something a noob would say. you're not a noob are you?

Matchmaking as a whole is ruining video games. Consolefags killed online.

cod faggots can only blame themselves for matchmaking. should have grown a pair and learned how to host a dedi server

wtf does super bash mros melee have to do with fps games

>SSBM
the sweatiest of the sweats

The way it's implemented NOW is ruining FPS. I don't want a robot shoving me onto a team of shitters OR a team of pros, I want to be playing with people of my skill level with a standard deviation of ~.2 K/D. This way you have a chance to excel and go on killstreaks if you do your best, while also making it fair for people on the other team. And when you DO get bodied, it's because you know the other team is better than you. Soft MMR >>>>>>>>> a constant fluctuation of wins/losses

No. The only people that complain are dorks that just hope for an easy win every match. Don't get me wrong, having a 50 kill game is fun, but getting 50 kills against a team of people that just started the game doesn't make you any better at the game, you just have higher level gear. SBMM isn't perfect but I personally would rather play against people within the same skill range as me than be randomly placed against people that have played the game for two days or randomly dropped in against a clan full of dorks who do nothing but play the same game every day and think they're esports gawds. I'm not sure how well the system works, but the idea of it i do like.

multiplayer FPS games have sucked for over a decade

SBMM for ranked
No SBMM for unranked
It’s not a hard concept but devs consistently mess it up because it’s more profitable if little Timmy doesn’t get BTFO’d every match because he’s shit and has no potential to not be shit

I don't play many FPS. What is the issue with skill-based matchmaking? Do people really get upset when they have to play against someone of equal skill?

there's nothing wrong with sbmm in pubs

Yeah they want easy stomps.

I already explained it It doesn't work
