>first time playing Skyrim >reach door puzzle in Bleak Falls >think about analyzing the mural walls around the door for a clue >re-read Arvel’s note > “lol dumbass the answer is literally on the claw’s hand, just inspect it and turn it around, we ain’t putting any effort into this lmao”
How disappointing. Still, good game, one of my favorites despite its numerous flaws.
Don't care, didn't ask + you're 11 years late + you're an iphone poster

Wait a minute that claw…
Kevin Brooks
you’re sad

I think I like Skyrim, although it's been many years since I last played it. And I only got through the main quest. I basically gave up on the side quests. But I still think it brings me fond memories. Unfortunately, I just don't have the motivation to play it again.
What’s sad is they never again used this style of puzzle ever again in the game except for repeating the same “claw” puzzles.
Should’ve had us solve a murder mystery using clues like this where we had to inspect shit. But noooo every other quest was a KILL X or FETCH Y.

Writing code on the key doesn't make any sense It defeats the purpose of 2 stage lock
Joshua Bell
i also massively over thought it and tried to match the murals disappointing

Skyrim is a lot like a bare bowl of oatmeal as a kid. It's there, it's filling but it's like eating water and your mom clearly hates you.
Jackson Turner
fpbp, no other game has the same scope that skyrim has, they had to make compromises
Aiden Reed
Yeah, it's a good game. It just has very many problems.
Aaron Hill
They tried explaining it in some in-game book, that it wasn’t to keep intruders out of tombs, but rather keep the draugr in them since they’re too dumb to figure out the baby puzzle.
Asher Flores
its a bethesda game don't expect good game design from them
Thomas Lewis
Skyrim was one of the first fps that let you inspect items in your inventory this way. They just assumed you'd be doing this with everything.
Easton Morris
It's neither good or bad.
Nolan Campbell
>find a dragon door >scroll through a thousands inventory items to find the claw >its the wrong claw
It's not an FPS, and it was not one of the first to rotate models of your inventory items. Kill yourself, kill your parents first, but please make sure you kill yourself.
Nathan Gray
it was a cute "puzzle" that filtered millions on Any Forums, it was glorious, sadly almost nothing else in the game uses the inspect feature because the game is shit
Jason Morris
Resident Evil used the mechanic quite well some 15 years before Skyrim came out.
Nathan King
Maybe nothing uses the inspect feature because the inspect feature is shit.
