You'd assume at first that Ash is a 15 yo teenager with those proportions, and Brock just a slightly older adult that is tall, but in reality Ash is like 4' feet tall, and Brock is an absolute manlet being like 5' at best.
Guys at the back are probably like 6'6", and that's just how 90's usually set their characters to look like, guess it at least has some charm. It wasn't uncommon for, idk Fist of the North Star to see Kenshiro being probably 5'8-6' but still somewhat see someone double the size, and this continued being a thing in shit like Jojo or Baki were people were somehow like 10 feet tall.
In restrospective, pokemon is not as bad as an offender as them.
