Watch season 1, it's not a huge time comittment. If you hate it then don't bother with anything else. If you like it then you're probably going to like at least a fair portion of everything that follows, inclusive of Fire Walk with Me (+The Missing Pieces).

season 1 is fantastic
season 2 is varying, i thought about the start or half of it was the better part
FWWM is also great but fucking depressing
season 3 i still can't even comprehend

Watching it for the first time right now, currently at S2 episode 14 and i think its pretty good.

Season 1 is great
Season 2 varies, has some shitty subplots but is pretty good and has some really, REALLY high highs
FWWM + the missing pieces are fucking amazing
