What went wrong? Are coop shooters dead now?

>make l4d but without the things that made it fun

L4D2 is not good, it just runs on any third world potato and valve gave it away several times

The game sucks is what went wrong.

It’s worse than l4d in almost every conceivable way

Bad coop games are dead, right.

Blame the boomers who can't let go of their shitty L4D.
It threaten it and they review bombed it like the chinese do.

DRG only ever going up with each year since 2018.

Zoomers like you are actually mentally ill. The game was shit and sunk because of that. Boomers playing and still enjoy L4D has nothing to do with it.

bruh what? DRD is huge

Does it support mods? If not then of course it failed

DRG*

KFC was right! Colonelchads we won!

The campaign levels all look the same and some are even recycled multiple times throughout the different campaign chapters.

Correct.

>Boring levels
>Recycled levels
>Half assed melee
>Builds are just stacking +.0056% damage over and over
>Horrible special enemies
>Completely broken special spawns

I was trying to like the game with a few friends but we all put it down after that update that fixed special spawns did nothing at all. Having a run ended because the game decided to spawn 7 specials at the same time in one hoard is cancer.

it appears bad games are dead

This dude is STILL seething about getting stomped on veteran

it's not good, it's great.

Well you're zombie shooters, so yeah.

This.

Its one of the best coop games ive played in years.

Somehow they managed to grab some of that tf2/l4d magic when it comes to character interaction. Making a mp coop game that doesn't require you to constantly use the mic is rare. In the 30 hours ive spent online not a single person has used it.

They literally made a lobby thats so good that randoms will literally forgo playing the game to drink pretend beers, dance, and spam voicelines. It's honestly impressive.

On top of this the actual gameplay is good, and difficulty ranges from "so easy you literally cant lose" to "hope you brought a build that doesn't suck ass".

AND on top of that the single player isnt total garbage, so you can actually still play the game when you dont feel like dealing with other people.

But seeing how the game is now, compared to what it looked like a year or two ago, its clear theyve added a lot of stuff thats made the game better. Even the brand new content is good, and a nice change from just shooting bugs.

The last big thing of note, is actual sanctioned mod support that is integrated into the game. They actually approve qol mods so you can use them in vanilla lobbies, and its amazing.

This is something b4b got SO wrong, imagine not wanting people to make free content for your game forever.

I almost feel bad I only paid 10 bucks for it, its definitely worth more than that, considering im over 100 hours in just a few weeks.
