Why don't RE characters ever carry around melee weapons to chop up zombies? You don't need anything fancy, just something that could lop a head off while they're on the ground.

Trying to get the 3 hour achievement, do you run faster with no weapon equipped, the knife, or either is fine?
Code Veronica's knife was crazy fucking broken. Had 250+ handgun rounds because I never needed it.
RE7 has an actual chainsaw duel.
apparently you do run faster unequipped. but I wonder if you lose a few .1s everytime you go to inventory that would make it pointless to micromanage
it literally wont matter, you have plenty of time if you have a proper route and dont fumble around

There seems to be no difference between running and knife, they're equally as fast.
Most speedrunners don't bother with the knife because they just run past most enemies anyway.

In RE you can miss the shotgun, RE2 had missables right at the start of the game (Brad's zombie).
