Side cases are so fucking boring

Dragon's mechanically more interesting than his other styles in 0, but in Brawler and Beast are better in that game. Beast is unga bunga easy mode due to its super armor and damage reduction, while Brawler's pretty much invincible while drunk so you just need to carry around a stock of alcohol.

The idea was that killers feeling rightous will always leave suffering in their path and that the moment they see this pain as "necessary casualties" any justice dies. The point of the Law is to break the cycle of vengeance.

Sawa-Sensei was this casuality and Kuwana seemed to brush it off, even deluding himself as thinking she would have accepted his murders. Besides Kuwana seemed ready to kill Yagami for daring to try to stop him.

TLDR muh sawa sensei is a badly brought up "until when a murder is acceptable"

Those are welcome changes, honestly. Being drunk and Beast gave you easy cheese. I know people like to say that the bat was just as broken, but I honestly feel like they had different, uh, design philosophies with Majima and Kiryu. When you unlock Mad Dog, you feel like you earned that shit, it is an apt reward.
When you unlock Dragon, I imagine most casuals would find it flashy but revert to Beast Unga Bunga.

Dragon is a bit more economical when used against the Mr. Shakedowns. Mr. Shakedowns ignore super armor, so Beast becomes less effective against them. Drunk Brawler is a bit better, but the most economical way of dealing with them is to just abuse Dragon Style's counter. In most scenarios, Dragon's damage is too shit to really be all that useful, but against Mr. Shakedowns specifically, it beats constantly downing alcohol or carrying around a dozen stun guns.

I don't know. I'm wondering when the fuck they'll add FPS Boost to Kiwami 2 on Series X. They already did it with Y6, and that one's way less optimized, so K2 shouldn't even be a problem in that regard.

true. Yakuza 0 was a great comeback but they went downhill after that. But Lost Judgement is just too dialogue heavy and not fun to read. I miss all the quirky things from 1-5 and 0.

I didn't hate 6 if I'm being honest. It has a lot of dumb shit but I liked the seaside town.

Yakuza 6 was alright but they started the too much blah blah with Y6.

It can't be said enough. Play Yakuza 0, and forget the rest of the series and its spinoffs exist. Judgement 1 & 2 were just awful experiences.

The series entire appeal was that it was supposed to be similar to Yakuza, except grounded in reality. Yet you are still fighting five+ guys at a time, with wacky martial arts styles.

Sad but true. Yakuza 0 is a "best of" of all things that make a great Yakuza game.

Agreed, and I've played every game except Lost Judgement, including the jap only ones. Though I'll play LJ at some point eventually anyway.

As I said, I'm sick of moralfag protagonists. I don't care if Kuwana's actions were justified or not. He was still a far better character than boring ass Yagami. If they had any balls, the next Judgment would let us play as Kuwana as he hunts down more bullies. Of course, they'll never do this since all the characters in RGG games need to be fucking boyscouts.
