Longest on my steam list is 14 years.

Why does this happen? At least update your profile to say you're busy with life.

>buddy has some kind of health problem
>never tells us
>we never bring it up because its awkward and he probably gets tired of hearing about it
>one night in clan chat he says he won't be able to log in for another nightly raid against the denizens of God Wars Dungeon because of hospital visit
>he jokingly demands us to get the last two hilts
>we do
>he never comes back online
I still have one of 'em, sitting in my bank. His name was turned to a bunch of numbers years ago.

idk that seems like a message a /qa/nigger would receive

This happened to me. I scammed my friend in some mmo and he never talked to me ever again.

>most of my runescape friends names turned to numbers
>can only remember a handful of them
I imagine this is a brief insight into how altzheimers feels

I like this art

i am the guy who left.

>"I don't know why you don't talk to me anymore, or what I did, but if I did something to make you mad, I'm sorry"

>ignore the message
>go online for the first time in years so he can see me start up Orc Massage

Was it worth it?

People who do this never grew up with computers long enough to be completely attached to them.
At some point video games just become irrelevant to their lives and they never look back.
>t. know people IRL who didn't log in steam for 5+ years

>played with this person constantly in casual matches, had a lot of fun
>they ask me to play some competitive matches, thinks i'll do fine
>explain that is not my thing and i prefer casual play
>they spend more time in comp so we don't play together as often
>until we stopped playing period since they stopped playing casuals
sucks but it is what it is

>briefly recall a few faggy roleplayers Id talk to daily in a chatroom
>can't recall much about them or the adventures we made up
We're all dying slowly.

Welp. I work with that shit and it's basically seeing people slowly but surely falling apart and becoming something... not really them any longer.

why would you log into that pile of shit if you aren't playing a game that needs it

In my case it was because he started seeing a new girl so I tried to tough it out for awhile but I kept seeing his name pop up and he was a cuck and gave in to her abusive demands to cut me out of his life along with all of his other friends and so I had to create all new accounts on everything and I put myself into offline mode and play my account using that friends library thing sharing to my new account so I dont have to log in and see him anymore and start crying because of it.
