Melee isn't dead but it's not in a good spot right now. However, this is normal for melee. Melee always had it's downs and something always picks it back up making it more popular than the newest smash game. Will it happen this time? I don't know. Only time will tell. probably not

It was. The horrible shit that's come out about Smash players has overwhelmingly come from the Smash 4/Ultimate scenes. Stinky Day was from a Smash 4 tournament. Pedogate was a laundry list of Smash 4 and Ultimate players. The guy who killed his mother was an Ultimate player.

Why do they always pretend it's the melee players? Even people outside of Any Forums seem to think these are all problems with melee.

Melee is going to stick around but as a game for enthusiasts the same way something like 3rd Strike or Kof 98 is, I don't think it's going to be the main Smash title anymore.
