The service of having it easily available, achievements, online multiplayer, cloud sync, remote play together, etc. Why are you buying games if you can't make backups? Are you retarded? DRM will always be broken at some point, so while it's still new I get to enjoy it as it's meant to be (or better through patched out DRM) and in the long run I can just patch my backups if the service stops to exist.

Adding weapons and cosmetics as microtransactions while they don't add anything to the game, the only reason these exist is because they made the standalone game slower and boring to incentivize you into buying these things which are objectively better than anything in the standalone game.
