Any Forums be like
>lol normies getting excited for New Popular Game 3 what retards hype is bad
while also going
>INDIE DEV WITH NO EXPERIENCE? YES SIR, AROUND THE CLOCK THREADS FOR YOU SIR!

I fingered my cousin

lamo it really be like dat

What game? Is this a Minecraft mod? DQ Builders? An Indie game? Do you expect me to fucking know every game ever made?

Cube World had so much potential. Fuck the dev

it's called Towns

I still can taste the butthurt from the release.
The discord group that defended the faggot developer to the bone so hard went into full meltdown and deleted their server.
The fact the developer removed the pages that had planned features, and took the site down 1 month after the game came out. Meaning anybody who bought it years ago had to email him for the key.

Spore

>disappointing
that belongs to yandere dev or star citizen

Walking sim >:(
Walking sim indie :0

Cube World is the apex example of why devs should always be transparent about what goes on behind the scenes. Having an issue and going radio silent for months at a time trying to fix that issue is insanely stupid, infact it'd be better to come forth and announce "hey, i'm having problems with X, Y and Z. Here's some tid bits of code, could anyone help figure this out?" and get it fixed within a day. You'll get my personal seething wrath if you do literally fucking everything independently but if you recognize something's wrong and you actively seek help from those more experienced, you'll get my respect. There's no shame in asking for help.

wouldn't that open the company up to being sued? Like how could they possibly use that code without it being tied to some royalties or whatever.

HEY GUISE YOU MAKE OUR GAME AND WE'LL CHARGE YOU FOR IT KTHX

hahaha straight bussin

This was one of my first experiences with early access type shit and it turned me off of it forever. Learned a valuable lesson if nothing else.

Why is this the only other popular voxel world game? Why aren't other indies making any? The style is perfect for programmers who can't into art and just want to code all day.

speaking as an indie dev, 99.9% of this board is shitposting vaguely related to AAA games. indies get very little to any attention here

why did people think this looked good?

and what part of it was dissapointing?

No since that would be considered volunteer work. Also it's code lol, programmers steal from each other all the time.

People imagined it would be amazing in their head and when the dev didn't deliver the vision on their head they hated it.
