hurting my wrist with capcom fighting collection and ghosts n' goblins
the tablet arm i got for my switch is a piece of shit and can't hold the deck

>please only discuss this specific brand of open source portable hardware and only say good things about it

mustard here

what is the appeal of the deck? yeah it's more powerful than the switch but that really isn't saying a whole lot.

>classic fighters
>on steamdeck's d-pad
sounds like a bad time indeed

it's not a bad dpad, but i was using the stick because i'm a scrub
the wii u pro controller i was using after that is what's hurting my wrist

>Didn't order until Feb 28
I honestly wonder if there will be a 2nd revision by the time they get to me.

Pc games + emulation.

considering how hard they're having a time of getting parts for this one, i think it'll probably be a hotter minute than you expect

I bought an Anker brand USB-C hub and it works great
I bought a Tripp-Lite (non generic) USB-C 3.2 extender cable

When using the extender cable, it charges correctly, USB drives work, Ethernet works
It just wont run a mouse and keyboard.
Im not sure if Im going to find a better extension cable or try to get another dock.

I like to hold the steamdeck itself as the controller while playing it on my TV

Anything I fucking want.

>jumps off building

I can emulate at full power without having to hack and use shitty CFW on the switch
I can play modern PC games without buying some ultra chink device from a chink company with a shitty controller layout.

I can steam cloud between the and and my with ease.
Its quite nice

it's a consolized pc
plays your entire steam library, emulates everything including switch, and you can use it as a full on PC (has a desktop environment)
could install windows or w/e you want on it.

+steam controller 2.0
+excellent tools for tweaking performance with steam overlay on a per-game profile basis (frame limiter is better than in-game ones for vast majority of games), adjust CPU threads on the fly, boost CPU, set GPU clocks

idk i'm just enamored with it, so many things i want to do still. i can understand if most people just want to pick up a console and only play games on it. it will do that, for steam games. but it's so much more than just that imo

Everything a pc does but in your hands, it's incredibly comfy. For the price point you really can't go wrong because the hardware is great. Also for the batteryfags it gets the same battery life as the switch while on a much larger screen with significantly better performance, it's really fine.

How good is the hardware anyway? How does CEMU run on it?

just found out if you even touch the decks built in frame/refresh rate limiter thing, you immediately get fucked with terrible input lag
how do deckfags put up with this?

what do you mean by hardware, ergonomics? i think it's excellent. only gripes are the dpad + "steam" and "..." buttons
actual specs here

>How does CEMU run on it?
yeah great, can even slap on 60 fps mod for BOTW and lock it to like 40+ fps, with gyro controls even

By actually playing games instead of scouring the internet finding weird bugs or anecdotes to try and cope with the fact you dont own one.

if you want performance, don't lower the fps/refresh rate??
it's literally a trade off.

PC already does this, but much much better

Also there are spergs out there finding the exact combination of settings to get the lowest input latency, if you have trouble someone else has probably already got a solution for you.

>lock it to like 40+ fps
Fucking garbage, the Switch does 30 and my PC does 240+. This thing is nearly as pathetically underpowered as the Switch.

>can set hentai games to launch in airplane mode via per-game profiles so no one will ever know
all according to keikaku
