OH NO NO NO
OH NO NO NO
Soon having a decent PC will be illegal for power consumption reasons.
California already has the base laws in place for this. You can't buy a pre-built with a PSU over a certain wattage.
I literally had to get a long extension cable for my AC to go down the hall and into the kitchen since my pc with a 3090 would cause a power outage to my bedroom whenever I played games with the AC on. A 4080 or 4090 will only be even worse.
>Can't just run new wire
Is this some rentoid problem I made too good of choices in life to know about?
What went wrong in 2017?
Nvidia pulled the RTX meme card.
>build wind generator on my roof
heh... nothin personnal commie fornia
>You can't buy a pre-built with a PSU over a certain wattage.
not even my commie third world country is this pozzed
RTX
shitcoin meme and and chinks running thousands of miner pcs all day
I recall hearing something similar that happened and the government ordered him to remove it since it was a "danger to wildlife".
crypto cancer
>you can't use electricity because carbon tax
>But you can buy a 300k Tesla electric car
The state of psychotic jews
It's funny looking back on Fermi now when it got its reputation as extreme hotboxes when the top card there was only 250W. The big issue was that it was on an undersized cooler. Now we have 200w for a 3060 ti but the coolers are massive.
>cause a power outage to my bedroom whenever I played games with the AC on
wow where do you live, user?
Literally any country with 120V power has this issue. Each room is usually on their own breaker.
Jewnited States likely, because more than 14A in their 115V socket can cause a fire
But he is so jewish and american that he didn't realize using an extension cord would cause more issues because efficiency loss and thus concentrated heating on the kitchen socket
Same here. Most Brazilians would need to upgrade their electricity network to run a 1000w+ PC + AC.
You don't have to upgrade to having 1 more phase. You simply need to run 1 phase and 1 neutral wiring exclusively to your PC socket, assuming you use 4mm2 wiring and 20A circuit breaker than can handle 2200W beautifully
>more power for more energy
>technological advancement
it's like fucking american cars
Extension cords are fine as long as they're rated to carry that much power. In practice, that means that for an A/C you should probably be using an extension cord intended for outdoor use.
That's because America is a neoliberal shithole that's ruled by corporations. I really have no idea why you people support that neoliberal shit so hard. And it doesn't matter which of your two parties are in power, both of them love that right wing neoliberal shite.
And then you act surprised when corporations fuck you over. It's almost as if giving the mega rich more wealth and freedom will actually negatively impact the wealth and freedom of the masses.
