Black Souls 2. But that is because I did some things in real life to some women that you do in the game and then get guilt tripped over.

Fictional media has never made me cry because I'm not a woman or a gay

Every Persona game outside P1,PQ2, P2.5, and the dancing games made me cry at lease once. Persona 3-5 got me multiple times each.

Imagine crying over the dogshit writing in video games

What was sad about 5 nothing of substance happened?

You need a therapist.

>crying over persona
Is this bait?

Sucked that AI2 didn't have any moments as good as this

In Royal's post game a few of the story beats pulled on my heart. The biggest one was when "I Believe" played while I was running through the final palace due to the rammifications of what'll happen to THAT party member should you prevail. Plus I cry at p3/p4/p5 when the credits roll because I enjoyed myself that much and it felt so sad for the journeys to be over. If anything is say P4 had the least substance of the nu-Persona. Its big moment was undone like 10 minutes of dialog later and given how adorable the character was it was a given something was going to befall her.

Visual novels are cheating and I won't count them. For regular games I think it might be undertale. For some fucking reason there's a random line that got me in the final boss fight on the pacifist route that still chokes me up. I think the only other non-vn game that got me was the ending of rdr1 and persona 3.

A story told is a story told, regardless of the medium or presentation

>"The wheels are bald and the drive shaft stutters at the gentlest brake, but a car's a car!"

No. Get fucked, weeb.

Your sarcastic comparison argues that a shit a car is not a car, which is not true.

A good story is a good story. Doesn't matter what the medium is or in what art style it's presented.

This one fucks me up because I bought it on a whim and I was rolling my eyes in the beginning with a lot of the cringy jokes
Fast forward to the end and I was fuckin weeping, god damn. RPGMaker ass game making me feel

Yeah I agree To the Moon was stellar

not that user but I'll have to dissagree with you and agree with him. It doesn't matter hoe good a story is if the gameplay, game itself, medium sucks ass.

All anime and anime adjacent media is trope-bloated bullshit. Reevaluate your taste and come back with a better palate.

Carlos!

Only Nier Automata
Several other games made me feel, however. Most recently Black Souls 2 and Underwaterrayromano

why the fuck would I ever cry over anything other than the harrowing reality that a father will die before his children.

You're all wrong. There is no such thing as a good or bad medium and stories cannot be adapted from one medium to another without changing at least some aspects. A good story in a literary format can suck donkey dick in a movie format, and a good game can be a terrible musical. How the story is told is as important as the story itself
