I literally played the entire game on normal and hard and never experienced a single crash. I even used some mods (none of which fixed bugs, just changed assets) and the game didn't even stutter.
It literally works on my machine.

My game crashed 0 times. Even if it's a bad port, it's a bad port of a very, very old game. You must be playing on a fucking toaster.
