Most of the modern games I'm interested in (of which there are only a few) run just fine on my Windows 7 PC. The only thing really holding me back is my GTX 970. If I encounter something I can't play though, I just use my Windows 10 Laptop for it.

I too am still on 7 and I've been thinking for years that I'll switch when there comes a game I want to play which requires it. Turns out there are no worthwhile games requiring 10 yet.

The only games I can think of not being able to play are Death Stranding, the Mass Effect Trilogy, and Monster Hunter Rise. I was thinking of finally switching for MHR but just got lazy.

I have a spare drive with Windows 10 that I used to play Elden Ring because the workarounds weren't compatible with my machine. Other than that I haven't found any reason to switch from Windows 7 for 99% of my daily computing.

I'm on 7+1.1 and most games still work. The real problem is driver support. 7 is luckier because AMD and Nvidia continued drivers for several years which I don't have so my drivers are from 2018 so several newer games and emus don't work. Emulation is the most annoying so I gave up on PS3 and Switch. I won't give in to W10 or W10+1.

Very few games worth going to Win 10 for.
Run modern ones at DX11.
Emulator support is dropping which is bad but for that I just dual boot ameliorated Win10.
Will always have a few Win7 desktops up and running just because they are so stable.

I still use W7 but my PC is over a decade old and I really need to build a new one basically, and some parts I'm looking at seem incompatible with it due to driver stuff and I haven't done the necessary research to see if that's the case or if I can still use W7 anyway.
