following the thread from yesterday, the current meta is:
version: "Yuzu development build | HEAD-mainline-636-9058-gecd22c9d8-dirty (2022-07-08)" (grabbed by EmuDeck)
steam overlay: 30/60fps&60hz, force lock lock GPU at 1600MHz
yuzu game properties: 0.75-1x resolution, GPU normal, handheld mode
6-8 threads in power tools (usually 7), CPU boost enabled

still barely optimized, just a rough preset that is working well atm

I don't think anyone actually plays switch games on this device because all I ever see is screenshots of the title screen or of the first level or first 10 minutes

user about half the userbase just got a deck last week, give them a minute to finish enjoying elden soiy

Why?
>buy handheld that can actually run games
>lol I'll emulate garbage just to hecking dab on those tendies!

Instead let's talk about how deck fags are going to make threads having mental meltdowns when Nintendo makes a new console and they can't emulate it

friendly reminder to ignore all console war derailment

we're just here to discuss switch emulation on the steam deck

It just makes me happy knowing I can run nintendie slop on my machine, meanwhile you payed big bucks for a bing bing wahoo paperwaight

Kinda hard to do since Any Forums is 90% console wars at this point.

@fbi

Yes?

Funny, I was looking to make this very thread.

What are the best games to emulate on the steam deck?
Do Wii games work well enough?

What am I doing wrong? Why does XC2 still run like shit? I swear I've recompiled the shader caches a bunch of times already and it's still sub 30fps (worse than the fucking switch) and the game just shits itself during chapter 3.
Someone please help, I did everything on the guide on XCDE and XC2 on running it on Yuzu.

so, here are my results so far
(haven't really had time to test much, only got my deck a few days ago)

going to be trying some mods soon:
yuzu-emu.org/wiki/switch-mods/
-very- curious about the no more heroes 720p mod,
also seeing if i can disable vsync in metroid dread and use the steamoverlay to cap it instead for better performance

I’d like to report OP for have loli trash ON HIS HARD DRIVE!!!!!

>Do Wii games work well enough?
Dolphin is easy on the system. Just... Don't ever try to emulate the waggle controls

Xenoblade is never going to work perfectly on Yuzu. You can try and get as close to stable 30fps as much as you can. Try raijinx

the fuck, how is it improving so fast

doesn't support online mp
switch is a mk8/smash console
unless you have irl friends switch emulation is mostly worthless

ryujinx is a thing
with rollback netcode for smash even

you realize this thread is going straight to page 10 now, right?

Fuck. I was hoping to play Pikmin 2 on it with its new play controls.
Its fucking impossible to go back to non-waggle Pikmin.

how do you emulate no gaems ?

>rollback netcode for smash even
You can't even play most stages with the rollback mod on the switch let alone the one on Ryujinx. I would know since I bum that game out.
