Steam vs GOG

Which is better? Steam has more features + a much larger library, but GOG actually lets you own your games.

pirating is better than both

there is exactly zero reason to pay for a GOG game when gog-games exists

Epic Games Store
/thread

>but GOG actually lets you own your games
yup. that's why GOG was the clear winner here. before they abandoned their drm free policy. now it's just a worse steam.

>GOG actually lets you own your games
OP made a thread about lying, I guess

>GOG actually lets you own your games.
LOL you actually believe that?

>before they abandoned their drm free policy.
Nani?

gog has a couple games with drm now but it still has drm free games something which steam has 0 of

Didn't you know?
They don't force publishers to have drm free games.

Steam > pirating > other stores/platforms

>Steam > pirating
Low IQ.

>when gog-games exists
not for long
>Sadly, GOG.com suspended sales in Russia and Belarus, so the R.G.GOGFAN group can no longer purchase games.

pirating doesn't give you access to multiplayer, cheevos, cards to sell, and cloud saving.

games that don't have these are just asking to be pirated though

>pirating doesn't give you access to multiplayer, cheevos, cards to sell, and cloud saving.
Not needed.

I'm using both and piracy.
game's on steam but not on gog?
>buy on steam
game on both steam and gog, or the game is on gog only?
>buy on gog
game is not on steam/gog (it's epic chang store exclusive or is exclusive to some other garbage)
>pirate
Simple as.

>reddit spacing
>multiplayer

>pirating doesn't give you access to multiplayer
yes it does
>cheevos
who cares
>cards to sell
damn, I'm missing out on... 0.03 cents... wait no... 0.01 cents after gaben tax... how will I ever recover...
>cloud saving

>I have a great idea: let's become redundant!
Holy shit stain.

GOG is pretty damn good when it comes to getting old games to run on modern systems, you just install the game and play it, so I buy old games from them.
For everything else, Steam.

I use Steam, GOG, and Epic.
Binding yourself to a single platform makes you no better than an Xbox or Playstation fanboy.

>achievements
Achievement watcher
>cards to sell
Your goiym is showing

GOG is cool but the selection sucks

>yes it does
in very few games
>who cares
me and some friends do
>damn, I'm missing out on... 0.03 cents
some cards go for $0.50
I legt got over $10 by selling cards, wallpapers and emotes and got free games from them.
you also get free cards during events
>syncthing
You can use onedrive which is built-in in W10 and W11, duh

>binding yourself to a platform bad
>that's why i bind myself to multiple
holy cope

>Achievement watcher
I used it for my pirated games and it didn't detect most of them

I like how you conveniently removed the word 'single' from my post.

>i suck multiple dicks

fpbp as usual.

I use both, but the Facebookness of Steam has me buying from gog when I can.

Sure thing pal.

>in very few games
most games, actually
>me and some friends do
cringe
>some cards go for $0.50
holy... 50 cents... that's mad profit, how much did you pay for that game?
>You can use onedrive which is built-in in W10 and W11, duh
why would I use that over a free solution?

Steam has become bloatware that updates almost every single day and has remained unstable and slow for over a decade now. I've moved on to GoG, especially since Valve's games all blow dick now.

I made $140 selling trading cards and Dota 2 items

>binding yourself to a single platform bad
>binding yourself to multiple platforms good
>getting hung up on a technicality when you know damn well what i mean
holy cope

Many steam games don't have steamworks drm, it's optional, and for the ones that do its very easily bypassable, but why not use both?

b-but user YOU HAVE TO PLAY the HECKING NEW MULTIPLAYER GAME!!! LOOK, EVERYBODY IS PLAYING!!

>buying Ubishit games
this is ubishit's fault and I won't defend it
and I also said that I pirate games too unless they have multiplayer, cope
onedrive is free, retardo

Retard

>onedrive is free, retardo
not that kind of free, moron
