Yeah this. I grew up in the 90s / 2000s and while i played vidya and shit i also went out and played football, hung out on my bike and chilled in parks with other teens or had LAN parties with actual real kids growing up, not just those on the other end of the microphone. Kids these days are growing up with social anxiety because corporations are literally wanting to keep them indoors playing this garbage mindnumbing shit like Fall Guys or Fortnite. It's partly the parents fault as well for having kids and just letting them consume shit on their phones and stuff instead of actually you know, raising them properly.

Technology should have stopped in the industry of entertainment around 2010 at the very latest.

I dunno how old you are, but this is no different from kids feeling like if you they didnt get their pokemon cards or beyblades or pogs or baseball cards that all the other kids had, they would literally die. In general? No because i was limited growing up by my parents to how much i would play / watch a week until i turned 16. I'm not saying that video games / television is bad as a form of consumerism or entertainment but kids these days are absorbing it as a main focal point of day to day entertainment without much else.
