I was tempted to buy this the other day. Is it any good?

Gunvolt's basic shot + charge in place for proper damage gimmick is bad.
It's also supremely retarded with shit like a closing in death trap across multiple teleports combined with auto-progressing dialogue where you have to wait as long as possible at each teleport before moving on or else you get to the end of the stage before the dialogue finishes and it gets skipped.

Controller doesnt work on steam for some dogshit reason. So I can't play it

What if he got an electrified sword?

Ew

Did it ever occur to you to turn off the dialogue and play for score?

>game (and sometimes even characters) explain what kudos are
>character's gameplay revolves around gaining kudos
>giant kudos indicator near the top left of the screen the whole time
>game rewards you with idol singing for getting kudos
>game rewards you with more items for getting kudos
>game rewards you with higher rank for getting kudos
>there are items that mainly function with kudos
>somehow people ignore all of this, play the game like mega man, and get mad when its not as fun
and you people complain about casualization

>stop playing MegaMan and play this MegaMan spinoff

>Game has story content
>Dude just skip the story
Or they could've just been competent and not made story that doesn't mesh with the gameplay and require you to stand around for minutes to listen to the dialogue at the expense of your score. This is objectively bad design.

I like both and trying to shitpost like this will only make GV even more hated that it already is.

I can agree but it also doesnt matter because you will replay the stages so many times that you can do a story run when you feel like it and be fine.
It is bad overall but from the point of view of scorechasers its a non issue and GV is an extremely gatekeep-y series

Is it good? If it is, why is it not talked about nearly as much as Inti's other platformers

DMFD is the only Inti game Id actually call bad.

>megaman but easy mode lock on and revive

>megaman but extremely difficult
Fixed
Imagine playing on trial mode which is what playing the game once with prevasion is
You didnt beat the game until you S+ rank every mission

It was fun to co op

>extremely difficult
>in a game where you dont even have to fucking aim
didnt you gunvoltfags learn your place when the REAL megaman knockoff came and filtered you en masse?

you have to fucking aim as much as in any megaman game

>shoot target once
>just hold a button down to do damage until the reticle goes away
so shooting a boss once is "extremely difficult" for you?

Im not going to bother, yeah sure GV sucks, dont play it.

>conceeding this quickly
kek atleast you know your place

>iX2 came the closest to going full MMZ difficulty with lives, no crutches and tight bosses
>Filtered the entire fanbase so fucking hard inti themselves had to step in and put the easy mode crutches back
I cant help but laugh at you pathetic children
