I only started Danganronpa a few months ago after reading about it here, and I care about Junko immensely. She was a huge breath of fresh air as a villain in that she didn't have some melodramatic sob story about rape or loss or some other stupid excuse explaining away her actions. She's evil because she wants to be and she had the ability to make it happen.
That and her design and character hits every point for me and she needs more giantess femdom art stat.

Nah, I watched the anime and I really hated it. It shat on tried and true conventions just for the sake of novelty. The story leans way too hard into despair, which is just fucking lame. It's pathetic whiny bullshit half of the time, and the other half is contrived fatalistic nonsense.
I also really hate Junko because she killed her sister. I could maybe understand all the other horrible shit she did, but killing her sister is unforgivable, and if she were a real person would be worthy of damnatio memoriae, as well as every single horrible punishment imaginable.

The anime is not as good at getting the story across as the game is, but if you don't care for it generally it's not gonna help. I see the story differently, as the point was the students overcoming tragedy and choosing to believe in a future they could build out of a shitty present. Junko as a character was just the test they needed to come to that realization. She was as simple as she needed to be.
Killing her sister works for me because her sister didn't see it coming. Even she thought it was a depth of depravity that Junko wouldn't stoop to. Obviously it's a horrible thing to do but so is everything else she orchestrated and she died a horrible death for what she put everyone through.
