You know hope poketards bitch about how soulless the new 3D models are because there poses aren't action poses? It's like that here, except it's actually real. Same for dialogue. Sorry but a statement like the left has 0 personality in it, right is an overblown exaggeration but even when trying to bring down the idea of giving sonic some personality, it still ends up better than right.
Whoever made this image must also think that Sonic literally just standing in a T pose is a better display of character than when he says "I'm outta here" and jumps off the screen in Sonic CD. Or even his idle actions in the genesis games.
