Remember me?
Remember me?
yeah
Yes. I still have you behind my monitor. I enjoy playing with your younger brother's deck though.
I bought it for 5 bucks and never opened it
chances they'll anounce steam controller 2.0 along with the dock for the deck? now that they solved whatever legal bullshit holding them back it can happen right?
Customization was nice but It just felt like ass to hold
Also the D-Pad was completely useless for 2D games
I miss the back paddles though, that shit should have become the new standard for PS5/X2
Its good but i don't need it
No
It was pretty interesting. It would've been great, had I ever needed a wireless mode of controlling my PC. However, I still liked browsing the net through this just for the hell of it - the controller has a nice feel and I like the haptics and such.
Yes and after playing my Steam Deck I am desperate for a Steam Controller 2.0. I liked the SC but it had problems (no DPad lmao). A revision with all the improvements of the Steam Deck? I'd buy 4 instantly and never go back to Xbox/Dualshock.
>the thumbstick in mine is dying
>Don't have flux to desolder and solder in a new one
>apparently the spacing is a bit weird and standard thumbstick caps don't fit either
This controller was too good
Biggest waste of 5 dollars I’ve spent personally.
>develops ergonomics primarily centered around the touchpads
>gets pressured into including stick and facebuttons
>fucks it up and organizes them into the standard primary and secondary groupings
>doesn't change the ergonomics now that the groupings are different, stick and face buttons are uncomfortable to use because the form of the controller is intended to lift the hand up and give the thumb maximum freedom of movement for the circle touchpads but it just doesn't work when you angle away from them because it changes how your thumb sits on the controller
>final controller has cheap feeling bumpers
>flexing the battery cover feels cheap and stiff and ultimately gets them patent trolled
They probably should've started over once they realized the two touchpads weren't enough but I guess that sunk cost was pretty tough.
I'm excited for a V2 at least now that they've gotten some more controllers under their belt.
>deck
You don't see what valve's gonna do to that thing. Do you?
? What are they going to do?
I don't know that I'd agree with you, the Thumbstick and button placement was more than adequate for hundreds of hours of Isaac, finally finishing super meat boy and Platinum'ing Crash N. Sane.
I'll buy it from you for 10.
What are they gonna do?
Hell, what CAN they do to a PC that lets you install any OS you want?
REMEMBER EVERYTHING WE USED TO BE
If you mean stop supporting it? Then who cares. You can 1: install Windows on it and 2: it already works well as is, and it's an open platform, it's a PC. By the way, Valve never dropped SteamInput support nor did they stop updating it after stopping with selling of the Steam Controller.
Sure, you're the only controller I use and you're sitting on my desk right now.
i have one. the lack of a real d-pad makes it pretty shit for retro so it sits in my closet. i hope i remembered to remove the battery from it.
>friend asks to have my old ones
>says they are impossible to buy now
>amazon listings for 200 USD
WHAT THE FUCK WHY
I just wish it had usbc now, might look into replacing the connector myself
Nah I will maybe use it when my xbox elite breaks
>Install windows on it
>Thing exists
>Thing is really fucking good
>Thing stops being made
>Thing gets really fucking expensive
Many such stories.
