yeah, I always skip a generation or two and have a 3080 atm

yea got cheap card from friend

1660 super still runs everything I play at 60 fps. If something modern with a similar price/performance comes out I'll consider upgrading.

I'm not buying a 3000 card unless it's 50% off of MSRP for a brand new one. it's been 2 years for fucks sake

is there a resource anywhere that lets you pick a resolution/fps and gives you a card and cpu combo to get there at different price points

yea human brain

i got a 3060ti a few months ago
if nothing worth playing is released in the next 10 years (like the last 10) i wont be to update till 2030 anyway

They can't delay it much longer because Ayymd is not planning to delay at all and they're releasing in Q4.

Is it a bad idea to buy used computers now ?

always have been

Do not buy used parts

Never really a good idea to buy used computers, more problems than they're worth and their life-time is difficult to measure.

still using my 1070. it's only now starting to show its age with elden ring. unless you're playing every shitty AAA """"cinematic experience"""" I don't know how or why anyone would want to upgrade more often than every 5 or so years.

Just make sure the seller specifies if the GPU was used for mining or not. I imagine a lot of shady folks will be buying used mining cards, slap them into a lightly-used or refurbished rig, then sell it whole as one used package.

I got a 3080 Ti for ~450EUR under MSRP so yeah I did.

Can't be arsed to upgrade my 1060ti 6gb yet, although I have to play pretty much everything on medium with shadows off I'm so used to it at this point I don't even care anymore.

My 1070 is still an absolute trooper, but some newer games are making it sweat, so nabbing a 4070 or maybe even going buck wild with an 80 seems appealing as long as the market doesn't absolutely shit itself to death again.

>still using a RTX 980 and always been for 6 years.
>still runs fine as like new with proper settings
>mfw no problems yet

I'll decide to properly upgrade when I get to 5000 series

>RTX 980
Retard.

I want a gpu so bad but at the same time I'm not paying 600 dollars for a decent gpu

Very bad idea they're full of dust and tranny spiders with aids
