That one David Cage did with that confused actor, Beyond two souls I think?
How the fuck is mariko pretentious? I hope you die
Nothing like being constantly tested to see if your IQ is above 70.
I liked Braid a lot though.
Any David Cage game. His games are so heavy handed and have no subtlety. Remember when Indigo Prophecy was considered a masterpiece in videogame storytelling? The same game with various matrix-tier level of fights done seriously? How far we have come.
life is strange
Bioshock Infinite. The way the characters talk in breathless tones about how clever and expansive the story is at the end absolutely killed me. I'll never not find it funny that the game basically advocated for racism and classism when Booker gave that whole "At the end of the day, the only difference between Comstock and Fitzroy is how you spell the name" bit. In its attempt to seem so smugly detached and above-it-all, the game accidentally equated the oppressed with their oppressors and they had to undo it in the DLC. Not to mention that really fucking tacky scene where they had Booker play guitar while Elizabeth sang like a Disney princess handing an apple to orphans crawling out of the woodwork.
I think the term "pretentious" gets thrown around a lot incorrectly, but I really do think Bioshock Infinite hits that perfect sweet spot of being hollow schlock that wants you to think its an elevated art form.
The Talos Principle, is a good choice too.
The witness was awesome and I got filtered at some point by it. Maybe some of the later concepts are easy to understand but they eluded me. Still loved what I played
Bastion
the writing and story was as terrible as the gameplay and the gunplay the game goes to shit the second you step off the rocket to air rapture
Faggottale
So what does pretentious imply? Games that act like they're so deep and unique?
your favorite game
>Muh existentialism with androids
>Muh war bad
>Muh Gods bad even though humans made me to exist in a living hell without death for eternity
That was about it, there's nothing really that much else to say about it.
