Something about ps1 games made them the comfiest physical copies to browse through in stores vs. all consoles. I had been buying shit since the genesis/snes days but finding the occasional rare ps1 game just felt so good. Maybe because it had so many rare-ish jrpgs or something, I dont know.

Yeah they still had rentals where I was. All the way up to them going out of business. I remember our family getting amazing deals on some movies and games when they were wanting to get rid of their inventory.
