kill yourself
i have never seen an "essay" that wasnt just recapping the story of the game in painful detail with an added maybe 10 minutes about everything else like gameplay
I saw a minute of the video in the thumbnail. Is that a guy?
Only for wagecucks with no free time
Yes, he trooned out recently

Why bother padding out a review for 7 hours? I was under the impression a video only needed to be 10 minutes long if the content creator wanted to maximize the ad to content ratio. So these literal hours of fluff make no sense to me, since they're not getting paid extra for it, and they're not saying anything of substance
>video essays about video games
It's really funny that the type of people who, in the message board days, would post giant essays that nobody read a word of are now reading their posts over footage of gameplay and making lots of money.
if you can keep an audience entertained it can be as long as you want.
With 55k views that guy definitely failed.
Who watches this? Why watch this? I can get that some people just put it in background and half listen but still why? Why not recommend a game to friends and have a conversation? Why not make a thread on web and talk? It's just so weird.
They're not long enough, actually.
Maybe they are, maybe there are 1000 ads in between and the algorythm favors long videos. If thats not it, I have no clue then, because for every logical reason videos should be as short as you say.
>something something 12 hours oblivion video
>something something hbomberguy
>something something zoomers attention span background noise
>something something long videos means bad opinions
Here, you have your thread. No I'm not a prophet.
Do what I do, don't watch them.
You know how Any Forums is infested with zoomers larping as boomers? Those videos are where they get their opinions from.
>With 55k views that guy definitely failed.
The guy has 15k subs, is easily his most viewed video, and is his only video of that format. It's significantly more successful than his let's play shit.
>is easily his most viewed video
Nah that is his pathologic videos
>spending the prime of your life mumbling into a microphone and acting like a psued over 20+ year old video games
Can't think of anything more pathetic, the people that make these videos or the people that revere these people as ecelebs.
these were made before he trooned out btw
No ones life has a prime any more. It's all shit.
I could watch either of the Star Wars trilogies in their entirety in less time than it would take to watch this video on a shitty tie-in game
That's crazy as well. I'd rather have the kids say games i liked are shit because whatever. Getting opinions from old youtube farts and regurgitating them seems awful. I can just disregard them and wallow in my nostalgia and everything is as it should be, but bringing back age old, not own, arguments is just fucked.
the ashamed NEETs who make these videos overdo it and end up making 4-8 hour long videos because they want to feel productive for once in their life
What happened to brevity is the soul of wit?
The only 7 and a half hour long essay I ever turned on for a day was Le Van Man's Resident Evil video. Only because he talked about the entire series as a whole.
Not one fucking game.
How do you talk about it for 7 and a half hours without repeating yourself or not just providing a Nostalgia Critic like story beat breakdown?
I’m detecting a pattern of people going on impossibly long lectures about video games and trooning out not long after.
While I stand corrected with it being his most viewed video, those trend with the sort of format that works for him along with having years of exposure compared to under two months.
Doors close for you as you age through your 20's regardless of how shit the economy is out there. Even if you somehow manage to make a career out of talking about video games on the internet I can garentuee that these people will look back on their life and regret spending so much fucking time locked in a sedentary and mostly antisocial activity for the majority of their weeks. Look at someone like Jeff Gerstmann and how fucking jaded he is.
I was like this ten years ago watching matthematosis videos. Grow out of this fucking shit and do something productive instead of giving psueds like hbomb ad money and an ego stroke
>video essay about a game
>multiple hours long
>cartoon tranny avatar
>"X is good/bad and heres why"
with Resident Evil 1, I could see it possible if they analyze every room in the game.
Kinda like when Plague does his playthroughs of from games and rambles about lore and medieval weapons
Only 55k after over 1 month of an almost 8 hour video.
And they still made more money than I going through uni and working in relevant industry. Crazy world.
making people laugh is more worthy than rambling about the political systems of New Vegas for 4 hours like a fucking pseud or someone taking 8 hours to tell you that a good game is a good game. Grow the fuck up.
It's not really the making videos part. It's the talking out of your ass like a retarded pseud for hours part.
No shit, their insecurity makes them easier to groom.
Oh god he did
