>trying to finally finish dark souls 1 for the first time >its just a worse version of dark souls 2 with lore that dark souls 3 already has got the lordvessel and the game has genuinely been a drag — the enemies and bosses are way too easy, even Ornstein and Smough who are supposed to be the best and hardest bossfight in the game were a literal pushover
fromsoft games are not that good, you're just coming to terms with it

Understand that anything good someone has to say about DS1 is strictly emotional and bordering on feelings. It's objectively not very good. If you like it because i don't know you're stupid or you were 12 that's fine, I don't want to take your enjoyment away, but you have to concede it's not good, fundamentally speaking.

account share with sombody who has the proper PTDE version or just pirate it? oh wait, zoomers don't even know how to pirate.
Julian Long
i mean that can be said about all games tbf
I probably only like ds2 because i was literally 10 when i played it for the first time
Elijah Long
DS2 is fantastic and I unironically like it way more than DS3, and I think its about on par with ds1 if not slightly better. Sure, some areas are ugly, but some areas are fucking beautiful as shit, the magic system and build diversity is fantastic, and bridge PVP was the most fun I ever had in the series
Andrew White
Are there really people who genuinely believe das2 is better than das1?
Lincoln Gutierrez
2 is a lot more fundamentally sound and much better designed
Zachary Barnes
Dark Souls 1 still has the best world design out of all FromSoftware ARPGs and it has the best sense of adventure and journey because you can't teleport from the get go to any checkpoint you desire.
The only thing people will have to come to terms with is that FromSoftware has never completely improved on Dark Souls. All the follow up games do somethings good and somethings bad. FromSoftware is a retarded dev. With that said, Bloodborne and Sekiro are the best games, overall.
Nathaniel Scott
yeah if you value good gameplay and depth over a walking simulator
Jacob Williams
There is no sense of adventure. Adventures dont involve backtracking.
Dylan Bell
Nobody likes you, they just tolerate you. DS2 is better in every way except for one awkward level transition and a couple bad textures. The "interconnected" meme is one of the best, it's like you can't distinguish between a game set around a city vs. a whole continent.
Jace Lee
I like all soulsborne games and troons can seethe all day about it. I know they are flawed. And?
