Nah I tried a few times over the years from different places. As soon as the intro scene with the memory about the twins and then you're on that beach with soldiers and a big tittied warrior ends and you're in control, it crashes.
Not a big deal.

You should probably play Rance before Evenicle. Preferably Rance Quest since it's the basis Evenicle was built off of. But you absolutely need to play Sengoku Rance and Rance VI before Rance Quest. And preferably the other games prior too.
Then again Evenicle are standalone games and can be enjoyed for the story, characters, and exploration alone. But I would still recommend playing Rance first.

Maybe. I've just seen so many people disregard all of Alice Soft due to playing Evenicle first and not finding the gameplay to be engaging enough.
I've even seen some proceed to disregard all of eroge as a result.

I guess that makes sense when you put it that way, but I figured that if someone was to break into eroge Rance would be way too fucking intense. Not like Evenicle doesn't start with a gangrape or have a couple gross scenes but all things considered most of the sex is really vanilla in contrast to the non-stop rape-a-thon of rance games. I guess what I mean to say is that Rance is a bit of an acquired taste.
