GEE I FUCKING WONDER
WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS THAT MIGHT HAVE IMPEDED GPU PRODUCTION!?!

Imaginary jew flu?

I can imagine how retarded your face looks.

I got a GeForce ti 4600 in my 98 machine

Not as retarded as you stupid faggot in a worthless dirty Chinese paper face mask

LET'S GO BRANDON

stagnation and diminishing returns
back then you had to upgrade your GPU every 2 years since the gains were massive each year and graphics improved tremendously, now you can make a GPU last 5-10 years

FX series was a fucking disaster.

I'm not even American you worthless woke sōynigger

making better gpus got really complicated. Back then it was as simple as developing new machines that can make smaller transistors, but now we're seemingly at a limit because any smaller than 10nm (smaller than 10nm are marketing terms, they aren't the actual size of the transistor) we run into a problem called quantum tunneling where electric charges can magically jump from transistor to another uncontrollably. So now we have to do really clever shit like optimizing architecture instead of using brute force to get more juice out of cards.

He's actually talking about the chinese bio weapon leak. Imagine being one of the poor cucks who got infected by it.

Better than being crippled by the experimental gene therapy shot

yeah, I remember when Nvidia rebranded a card and sold it for more every other year
good times

>better
I'd much rather take my chances with the western clotshot than getting infected by a literal bio lab leak from china but you do you.

Well don't worry, you can take the first and still get the second!

>4 shots in and no side effects

Still doing better than you, don't forget to take your meds schizoid

GeForce 3 was a mostly meaningless upgrade from the GF2.
GeForce 4 sucked shit compared to Radeon 9700.
GeForce FX was the 3DFX engineers having freedom to design for the last time. It has some really neat features and quirks but in general it just wasn't good compared to the Radeon cards.
6000-series is basically where the modern GeForce card starts in terms of compatibility issues and such.

8 yearolds Dude...

and when you get the clot shot and still get infected?

what the fuck am i looking at?

Diminishing returns
Back then even small steps meant a lot, now? It gets harder and harder for them to convince people to upgrade, some people here still have 1070s and they see no point in ever upgrading
