>game begins with a cutscene gallery
>finally get to play
>walking simulator through narrow corridors
>oh look, another zombie that only serves as a damage/bullet gate that you have to pay a tax to
>oh wow I found a herb and some ammo, now I have more health to pay the next tax with
>find a key item
>oh wow now I can traverse through the same corridors to that other place to unlock a thing so I can progress to the next set of linear corridors
>rinse and repeat this gameplay loop
What's the point? Why did this game get high review scores?
Game begins with a cutscene gallery
I don't understand the fags that complain about zombies being bullet sponges. Literally just kneecap them and move on. Fuck even if you didn't do that the game gives you so much ammo to kill like 80% of the shit in it as long as you don't miss your shots like a retard. As for the backtracking...did you ever play the og games lol?
You're not allowed to criticise nu-resident evil, you're supposed to suck it off relentlessly.
The games are garbage but this generation is easily pleased and doesn't want to think
because RE was always made to the normalfag masses and REmake 2 is no different this is just what the standards are now instead of a game that's worth 1/2 a shit
I thought this game was pretty mediocre. Like it’s not terrible but I don’t get the high praise either.
U a fag

>did you ever play the og games lol?
You know he fucking didn't.
>i have to shoot my enemies. Capcom is taxing me!
The original games had soul, it wasn't made so obvious that it's just a gameplay loop you're executing like a mindless slave. Nu-devs are really bad at hiding the gameplay loop, it's all there in plain sight, the mechanics, the programming...
>gameplay loop
the what
This, the original games are way more organic, it feels like you're just trying to survive and you're just stumbling into things and events. Finding a key isn't just binaric 1+1=2, it doesn't feel like the game is puzzlegating you to prevent progression.
>Describes every survival horror game
So what do you want from survival horror? Non-stop first person action? Left 4 Dead?
Do you understand the point of the genre? Why would you play something you hate so much?
>Buys and plays Euro Truck Simulator 2
>The fuck is this shit, I'm just driving down a highway?
>I've been tricked! Time to complain to my pervert friends.
I don't feel bad for people as whiny and dumb as OP.
Aside from the cutscenes and cinematic intro, everything else is how the old games play and is a great formula for survival horror. Exploring, that gets you in danger/possibly hurt, need to explore to find healing. It's a perfect loop.
Gameplay loop = kill a zombie, move forward, get a key, open new area, find health/ammo so you can repeat the loop. Repeat, repeat, repeat. How dumb are you for not realizing this?
Visuals were sex but I hated the way they handled the combat.
If I headshot a zombie with a shotgun at close range, there should only be a neck stump left. It should not bounce off the zombie's face like it was made of iron because I've been doing too well in game.
RE4 and 5 had perfected "shoot zombie, zombie dies" to a satsifying degree and 2 fucked that up.
I liked it. Picks up once you get to the police station. Could have used some more boss variety though. I like that RE4 has a lot more varied enemy designs
Because if even the weakest zombies are bullet sponges why should I even shoot anything at all? Its fucking boring, a waste of time energy and resources to shoot them in any way. It isnt scary, its tiresome. Cool I just shot a zombie in the head like 9 times and it didnt do anything, wow, so scary. I might as well not even play at all if doing things in game is just pointlessness inbetween doing puzzles. Picking up weapon upgrades also barely makes a difference.
>9mm
I honestly don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Every zombie I've killed with the shotgun up close always had their head come off. You must be shooting too early.
If you don't get bitten and are clearing the game on a not pussy difficulty, the enemies become exponential tougher to the point of comedy and can shrug off shotgun blasts.
I genuinely wonder what games you do like? Cause it definitely is not horror games lol. In fact you sound like you just hate games in general.
RE4>REmake1>RE2>RE3>RE8>RE1>RE7>RE:Gaiden>REmake3>RE5>REmake2>RE6
Haven't played any other ones
You’re not actually supposed to kill every zombie, early RE games are more adventure/puzzle/exploration. You’re supposed to avoid the zombies or briefly disable them so that you can save ammo for lickers/bosses. Go play 4 if you want to just shoot. You have to appreciate adventure or even pick/click games to get early RE
I've ran S+ run with Leon on hardcore and never had the issue you're talking about regarding the shotgun.
>damage/bullet gate
kek brainlet
2022 and people still have no idea about the weapon critical range?
