I really disliked it back then. I found it to be way too childish and uninteresting, and I was a wee lad, mind you. Still, it has the usual squaresoft's high production values are there, so it looks and sounds great.

Abilities tied to equipment is cool for a Thief class MC. Also, for speeding through the game 'cause it lets you swap in key abilities whenever you need without grinding

I liked it. Definitely had its share of issues back on PS1, and the HD port definitely could have used a bit more commitment than what Square was willing to give. Can only wonder how that French cartoon is going to turn out, and if the rumors of a remake will come true.
