I have a PC for playing games, and if I'm not at home it's because I'm doing something, so I wouldn't be playing games anyways.

Guy at work brought his in yesterday. Thing is bulky as fuck. I like the idea though. I’m sure they will shrink it down in the future ( or abandon in ) so I’ll wait for now.

What's the point of this thing? It's too big to fit in your pocket and too small to play anything at the same quality as an average PC. Is this literally just a shitty PC for fatfucks who can't get out of bed? At that point why not just buy a laptop?

How far away is the next iteration though? Can't be less than a few years with how many people just got theirs. I'm thinking of getting one too.

I got it simply for the novelty of laying in bed, and maybe using it once in a while while chilling in the living room while the gf watches a show or something. I have a gaming laptop as well but I don’t enjoy using it in bed, it gets hot and the setup isn’t very comfortable, the Steam Deck is more convenient. Also eventually I’ll get around to putting emulators on there which would be another fun thing to play in bed. Honestly I didn’t need this thing, I just wanted it for shits and giggles, and I’m not a poorfag so why not?

I'm a poorfag should I get this or a switch?

I just use steam link and play on my ipad
I don't travel enough, or want to play games in public enough for me to justify a dedicated portable machine.
