Plot kind of sucks but it looks great.

That's why pixel art's a timeless art style. People act like it's dated because it originated from old games, but it'll always be around.

Art* per se is what evoke things in us, is not the pixel art, it's about coherence and beauty.

Bros why do I like ffta more than every single other tactics games out there. I should like tactics ogre but it doesn't feel right

this kind of game spends almost 80% time in battle. it hard to replay it again

What does Any Forums think of the One Vision mod for Tactics Ogre LUCT?

I like the combat as it is but I do wish you could freely walk around some of these maps out of combat, they're peak comfy.

The problem with HD digital 2D art is that it would look better if it were pixel art. The 2D assets are just too obvious and make any game look like Paper Mario, pixel art smooths that problem over.

You're supposed to be make use of modern tech. I still look at Skullgirls as the gold standard. Soft shadows, and a painted form layer that the game uses to properly light the drawing up by attacks/the environment dynamically.
