I made the mistake of playing Dusk first and Amid Evil seemed like such a retarded slog. The levels are tedious to complete. Halfway through I had to turn my brain off and stopped comparing it to Dusk which made the experience somewhat bearable. I only meet par times on bosses because they're so piss easy.
I also played it on evil difficulty first and it seemed like a regular game. I don't even wanna imagine how boring easy must be.

STALKER is the best FPS to use somewhat realistic mechanics, and also the best with RPG mechanics
Doom Eternal is the best modern boomer shooter
Blood is the best classic boomer shooter

Overall? For me it's STALKER with some minor graphical mods, and a decent weapon mod. Preferably nothing that adds too much ridiculous Tarkov tacticool tomfoolery.

That's just from all I've played, and only while considering Bloodrite. Before the sequel I wouldn't call it the best, but Bloodrite was one of my favourite experiences in games as a whole.
