it isn't in fact games from japan are heavily censored when localized. Wouldn't be surprised if there was huge chunks of the game missing or huge lines of dialogue changed to make it "western friendly" AKA keep the people who don't even play games but read articles from "woke" gamers from screeching

I will never understand the people who fall for the bait screenshot about Yakuza 3 being woke. You get to choose the dialogue option for whether you think it's too much for the guy they like, and yuya even jokes that Kiryu shouldn't lie about her when he mentions that they're trans.
The same game even has a substory of Kiryu running away from a tranny while terrified.

From what I remember, nothing from 0 is "missing". But I think Yakuza 3 remastered did remove a side quest, and 4 and 5 remastered removed the pachinko minigame, as well as the remastered collection being retranslated. Also a bunch of licensed music tends to be removed/changed in the Western versions of Yakuza games, but you can mod those back in if you have them on PC.
