If you're upgrading from an Erista OG, you get better battery life, the OLED screen and a build quality that is substantially better (metal frame in the front, wider metal kickstand, better matte finish on the back). Definitely worth the extra $50 for playing in handheld. That said, the Chinese guy that leaked the Splatoon 3 OLED this morning did say a stringer version is actually coming. Whatever you want to believe.

i upgraded from the OG to the Oled not to long ago and i do not know if it is worth it the screen looks good and all but. im a little worried abouyt the games when a new nintendo console comes out all the stuff from my old switch will not carry over. so if you like handheld gaming look at the steam deck or any other pc handhelp you will keep you're games for longer.

Yeah, if you mostly play handheld, it's a pretty big upgrade. I went from the 2nd rev to the OLED and do not regret it at all.
