The narrative of Final Fantasy 14 has begun to make water all over the place already with Stormblood, and Endwalker has simply given the coup de grace to any future interest in it.
Not even Yoshida's team manages to build a convincing narrative for a 10 years old game, and honestly, those proposed by A Realm Reborn and Havensword are already a half miracle.
Considering also the large defects.
So yes.
Final Fantasy 14, on a general level, is basically dead for me.

I've personally never once told someone to play this game because it's an MMORPG.
In fact, I always specifically tell them that it's basically a glorified visual novel with some light multiplayer elements and an MMO style endgame if you choose to get into it.
