What made the game so soulful? How did they do it
for me its the pre-rendered backgrounds mainly
>Graphics are dated, but on release the graphics were mind-blowing
>Pre-rendered backgrounds are gorgeous and still hold up
>The music is a heavy lifter in portraying emotion and immersion. Timeless classic
>The story and setting was unique compared to jrpgs around the time
FFVII was a key factor in making jrpgs mainstream in the west
the backgrounds arent dated ans the battles either, its the overwoeld sprite that are fucking ugly
That's what I meant. And people playing on PC can mod in better overworld characters. I can't do it though cause nostalgia.
Its a mix of nostalgia
yeah but the biggest problem is the proportions
True, Idk why they decided on Popeye arms
fuck no, I played it being 27 and I loved it
the battle models were good, they shouldve used those
Then you are making it a huge deal when in reality it isnt.
I love aerith through the rooftops and it produces me huge nostalgia, but it objetively wasnt a huge deal. And ill not pretned it was "so soulful"
How is the remake gonna ruin it? Please be as harsh as possible.
I played the game only a few years ago and there's just something about it. It feels like a huge toybox.
aerith can suck my dick, the whole game was a masterpiece and a great experience, from the ost to the story
I don't care about the remake vs OG cause the OG still exists and is great as is. I AM interested in how Ever Crisis handles everything.
hype, nostalgia and that's it
FF7 was one of the first AAAs games, including the marketing budget being bigger than the game itself
The soul is in MIDI music.
>How is the remake gonna ruin it?
It won't. Simple as.
>Move one screen down
