Level design isn't as good as the first game but the shooting and slow-mo still feels great. Story is more in your face and is subpar at best, cringy at worst. Still looks good graphically outside of the HUD elements.

It's alright but it's very consolefied. It's much more Call of Duty-esque because of the time it was released. It's still worth playing if you're a fan of the series. It's ESPECIALLY, DEFINITELY worth playing if you like Alma. It's pure Alma fanservice. It's also got some fucking rad mech sections. The horror set pieces are way fucking cooler and more elaborate than in 1 as well.
God I fucking love Alma.

Evil Within 1 is a masterpiece but Evil Within 2 is serviceable and has some great stuff.
